Equine Edge
About
T.H.E. Equine Edge provides cutting-edge supplements for equine and canine pets.
The Problem
Adding nutritional supplements to the cart is confusing.
Role
UX Designer and Writer
My Process
I spearheaded the design by creating wireframes that laid the foundation for user interaction. I also developed prototypes, copy, created high-fidelity designs, and collaborated with the project manager to gather feedback, utilizing the insights to refine the designs.
Users
The primary users are wealthier, older adults who possess a deep passion for horse and dog care. This demographic is characterized by their seasoned experience in pet ownership and a discerning eye for quality.

Wireframes
Generating ideas quickly
I created paper wireframes so that I could quickly and easily test design ideas before committing to digital. I starred a few that would prove to be the building blocks for the digital design process.

Usability Testing
Refining the design
Users were confused by the dog and horse products sharing the same page. To clear up the confusion, I separated the two websites by adding a small icon at the top right of the screen.
Further testing showed that users wanted a more streamlined checkout process. To create a user-friendly experience, I put the products front and center.

High-Fidelity Prototypes
The process
I created components so that the hero images can automatically transition from one to the next while the user is visiting the page.
